Technology, it is a very broad term. We mislead it by referring it to high-tech inventions and computerization. In an actual sense, technology is something which includes formulating the material/components and converting them into apparatus which authorize human to take control and exploit the natural environment in order to fulfill their needs.
These inventions have been formulating since Stone Age when the man discovered the fire first. No one had the idea that years ago discovered fire, combined with its wood burning technology could have such a strong impact on today’s environment and generate the disastrous term “greenhouse gas emission”, one of the strongest reasons of “Global Warming”.
It has been experienced by everyone that every good comes with its bad sides. Every positive comes with its negative impacts.

The growth of such tech. inventions and their advancements depend on human needs which have been rocketing these days. Previously the human needs were very basic and restricted under the periphery of food, cloth, and shelter. With the passing time along with technological improvements, man’s living conditions became better & more relaxed and in result these basic needs have changed their shades to luxury and style statement.
No doubt modern technology has transformed people’s lives. Like,
- It made communication easier, trading faster & better as every single person is holding a mobile phone or tablet in their hands and having active internet connection in it.
- It reduced the distances between one place to another as people are using different speedy transportation medium to commute.
- It decreased the amount of time we used to spend on household work as people started using different home appliances to work fast and efficiently.
There are many such examples experienced by us which prove how technology is making us comfortable in its embrace BUT on the other hand, it is harming the environment and our health;
We Are Generating Excess E-Waste: In the name of technology up-gradation we are contributing to generate a huge amount of toxic waste which in result gradually killing us and our environment, e.g.
Previously we tend to use huge sized computers with separate huge size monitor, CPU, keyboard etc. Now we use laptops and tablets having every single separate unit inbuilt in it which are much convenient to operate.
Same applies with mobile innovation, previously we tend to use landlines then we moved to huge sized mobile with keypads and then to slick devices with touch screen sensors. We can take any example of tech invention in any field such as automobiles, home appliances etc.; every innovation depicts the same story of advancement, up-gradation, and acceptance.

Cherry on the cake is having a powerful, manipulating generation-Y era which accelerated the process of change to 4x than before thus every new upgrade in today’s time doesn’t need much time to take place in the market and to fade the essence of the previous upgrade, which in result increased the obsoleting rate of old devices and leaching toxic substance from it to 4x than before and hit the buzzer of looming crises around the world.
High Radiation: Interesting new tech upgrades tend to tempt people to possess them. The user literally gets hypnotized by these new tech devices to that extent that they become the slave of their devices rather than being an owner of them. This leads to the need for Wi-Fi or any other wireless connection throughout the day to use them which in result construct an invisible threat around us called Radio waves. These radiations drift us and our environment to silent death.
Consuming Excess Natural Resources: Civilization definitely increased the use of technology, so the power consumption. With the increasing impact of Generation-Y, the need of luxury and crave of owning all new updated gadgets, people starts keeping more devices then they require and to keep those gadgets working non-stop throughout the day they need electric energy. This electric energy is generated on a large scale through fossils or nuclear fuels. Thus more power consumption needs more electric energy and more electric energy means more consumption of limited natural resources.
Outcomes of every new tech upgrade are always tremendous; depends on through which aspect we are looking at it. This can be Tremendous in a positive sense for some because they are seeing the constructive part of tech inventions which are making them powerful and on the other hand it is again tremendous but in a negative sense for some who are facing the disastrous impacts of these tech inventions which are making them and the environment feeble with its toxic bites.
Technology is no doubt a boon for us, so if you don’t want this boon to convert into bane, we should follow the rules of nature. It has been experienced, whenever the human tried to control and manipulate the nature, nature has shown its grimace to human.
So don’t exploit the nature otherwise, the End is certain.
